Welcome

Welcome to the Delta Nu chapter of Alpha Delta Pi at Southeast Missouri State University! Alpha Delta Pi is one of seven sororities at SEMO. On May 15, 1851, Alpha Delta Pi was founded as the first secret society for women at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. Southeast Missouri State University’s Delta Nu chapter was founded in 1959. Alpha Delta Pi is committed to sisterhood, values and ethics, high academic standards, and social responsibility. We are proud to be a part of one of the nation’s most active Greek communities, and we hope our website will serve as a way to peek into what it means to be an Alpha Delta Pi.

Hello everyone! I’m Zoë Patterson and I have the privilege of serving as President of the Delta Nu chapter at Southeast Missouri State University.

As president, I oversee the operations of the chapter. I act as the representative for Delta Nu on our campus, with our Executive Office, and Panhellenic Council.

I am from St. Charles Missouri, which is about 2 hours away from Cape Girardeau. In high school, I was involved in multiple sports and extracurricular activities. When I choose to attend Southeast Missouri State University, I was very unsure about joining Greek Life. Eventually, I was convinced to go through formal recruitment with my roommates by my side. The nerves that I had that first night of recruitment were crazy, I had never been so anxious but so excited about something in my entire life. I was scared I would not find a group of girls that I felt comfortable being myself around and a group that would accept me for who I am. Luckily I did find that in Alpha Delta Pi.

In ADPi, I have gotten the opportunity to take on 3 executive positions and a smaller position over the last 3 years! I was able to find the people that are not only my best friends, but the people that push me to accomplish my goals. I am beyond proud to be apart of such an amazing group of women. Women who show their support for SEMO, the community, and their home towns. Without Alpha Delta Pi, I would not know where I would be or who I would be. On behalf of the whole chapter we can’t wait to meet all the new girls that go through recruitment this spring and fall!

Loyally,

Zoë Patterson, Delta Nu President
