Alpha Delta Pi’s Vice President of Event Management, Charlee Koepp, plans and executes many fun events for our chapter throughout the year! Each fall semester, we have a semi-formal called “Violets” and a date party called “Mallard Ball.” During the spring semester we have a formal called “Black Diamond.” Along with these formals, we hold events like Mom’s Day, Dad’s Day, and other fun-themed functions! We also have various social events with different fraternities and sororities throughout the year. Scroll to read more about our different social events!
Violets
Violet’s is our semi-formal held in the fall semester, typically in November or December. It’s fun to get dressed up with sisters and celebrate the end of the semester! Last year, Violet’s was held at Cape Girardeau Country Club.
Mallard Ball
Mallard Ball is our fun formal that we hold second semester. Mallard Ball happens at many Alpha Delta Pi chapters across the country. Sisters dress up in their best camouflage for a night of fun with sisters and friends!
Black Diamond
Black Diamond is our end of the year formal. At this formal, we celebrate the seniors by wearing black and white while the seniors wear a color. We receive sashes from our Alpha Class and also vote for superlatives. In the past, the event has been held at Cape Girardeau Country Club
Fall Family Weekend
Spring Family Weekend is an event where we invite our families to experience ADPi and meet our sisters! This past year, we celebrated Family Weekend with a tailgate before a Redhawk football game and an event at the Tee House Complex. In the past, we have made wreaths, went to pumpkin patches, or had shopping and lunch dates.
Spring Family Weekend
Spring Family Weekend is a time that our chapter looks forward to each year. It is a day that we invite our families back to Cape for some fun! We typically have a tailgating event for a Redhawk baseball game complete with hotdogs, cornhole, and more!
Valentine’s Day
Along with our Galentine’s Day sisterhood event, we like to get dressed up in red and pink for our Valentine’s Day date party complete with heart shaped name tags and our sisters. It is always lots of fun!
Tailgates
Whether it’s football or baseball, our sisters love showing up and supporting our Redhawks! Gameday is always a fun day in Cape Girardeau, and our sisters enjoy all that they can of it!
Socials
Our chapter also enjoys having socials with other chapters. We have carved pumpkins, hosted paint parties, made Christmas cookies, had barbecues, and held events with fun themes like 80’s in Aspen. We love connecting with other members of the Greek community!
